    Is this paragraph grammatically correct?

I've passed many a exam with flying colors without even taking the bother to flip through the text books, not even on the eve of the exams. But, as fate would have it, for once when I actually took the pain to prepare for an exam, I flunked , squarely but not fairly.

Is the above paragraph grammatically correct?

    Welcome to the forum.

See my amendments above in red.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
