    Understand the meaning

    Code:
I guess I'll have you pass me a facility id, and a csv list of message types and I'll give you back the problem types for i
Does it meant that I have to provide a list to him first then he will return me something?

    Thanks.

It seems to mean that, but it's not well written. 'I guess I'll have you pass' is very clunky. I assume that you know what a 'facility id' and a 'csv list' are. I don't.

Yes, he wants you to give him a "list of message types" as a comma-separated variable file.

    Re: Understand the meaning

A "csv list" normally refers to a ".csv" data file where the individual data values are separated, in the file, by commas. Hence the name "comma-separated values". See:
    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Csv

It's a simple way of importing a string of data values into a MS Excel file.
The data between sets of commas are placed into separate, adjacent Excel cells.

May I remind you, R21, that we are supposed to use English in this forum.

    Many apologies.

As a Comical Chemical Engineer, I have been known to occasionally(?) drift into "tech-speak"
