    used to or would

Can I replace ' used to' in the following sentence with' would'? If not, can you tell me why? Thanks in advance.

I used to live in Seoul when I was young.
I used to hate my job until I got a promotion.
I used to play a lot of games on the computer.

You could only use "would" in your third example. It is usually used to refer to a "habitual action". Living somewhere and hating your job are not considered to be habitual actions, whereas regularly playing games on the computer could be considered a habitual action. I still wouldn't use it in #3. I would stick with "used to" especially as you haven't given a time frame. You could say "I would play a lot of computer games when I was bored as a child".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
