    While Google is not always a reliable source, this time it is.
    Department store: 28.3 million hits
    Departmental store: .9 million hits

    However, perhaps it's used in British English or in other English-speaking countries.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    I can confirm that it is department store in BrE too. To clarify, it is absolutely not departmental store.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
