    nature studies at pimary school

I would like to ask for your help about the following:

In our country there is a lower-primary school subject in which pupils are taught some basic information about the environment in general, i. e. plants, animals, the human body, the geography of their country and the world. This subject could be described as the combination of Biology and Geography at lower-primary level (in my country it involves pupils between 7 and 11 years of age).

Could you tell me if this subject exists in England as well and what the English name of this subject could be?

    thank you,

In the US, it would be split into "science" for anything like plants, animals, human body, etc. and "social studies" for geography related studies. This can include studies of different cultures, as well as studies of anything US related (history, civics, etc).
