    Show remaining value and transfers

    Hi,

The back side of CTA card reads, 'Bus farecard machines, turnstiles, and vending machines show remaining value and transfers'.
I would suppose the transfers means transfers of that value, is it correct?
How else would you say without that without the word transfers?

    Thanks, Alex.

Yes, you are correct in the meaning. It's difficult without seeing the card or knowing how the bus program works to give you another example. One idea might be "remaining balance."

Re: Show remaining value and transfers

If your trip requires you to transfer between buses or between buses and trains, you will be automatically charged the transfer fee when you use your card to transfer--you do not need to pay for the transfer on the first part of your trip.
