How can the setup of this sentence be changed so that it is correct?

    The sentence is as follows:
To get a grasp of the validity of the content, there are five evaluation guidelines to check for: accuracy—are sources of information available for cross-checking?; authority—who wrote the page and do they a proper credentials to present the information?; objectivity—are there any signs of the page being biased?; currency—is the page kept up to date and maintained?; coverage—is the page able to be viewed properly with the setup of the page clear and navigable?

This sentence is self-made, but not for any homework purposes. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It sounds pretty good. A couple of suggestions..."To get a grasp of the validity of the content" might sound better to say "To understand the content." I'm not sure what the purpose of this sentence might be since it is self made but it might be easier to read with bullet points, such as:

To get a grasp of the validity of the content, there are five evaluation guidelines to check for:
*Accuracy—are sources of information available for cross-checking?
*Authority—who wrote the page and do they a proper credentials to present the information?

    etc...

Otherwise, it just appears as a really long, run on sentence.

..'do they have proper credentials to present the information?

This does not seem to be to be the appropriate expression. Unfortunately I cannot think of a better one at the moment. Let's see what others think.
