    Such that

    Dear teachers

    Do these sentences read well?

They played well such that the crowd got/was euphoric.
The were so late for the meeting such that everybody had left by the time they clocked on.

Such that = as a result; that.

    Many thanks

    Offroad

    Re: Such that

They probably sound best this way:

They played well so the crowd was euphoric.
They were so late for the meeting and everybody had left by the time they clocked on.

    Re: Such that

I agree with you, but I would like to get the hang of the use of 'such that'.
