    need to/have to

    "I need to study."

    "I have to study."

Where we can use "need to", and where we can use "have to"?

    Re: need to/have to

'Have to' lays more emphasis on externally imposed obligation, 'need to' on personally felt necessity. In practice, there is often not a clear-cut difference.
