"The server is too busy ..."

The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later.
Why do I receive such a message? I do suffer from old computer, slow connection, and this message adds insult to injury because my time is limit, honestly. Will you tell me how to avoid that, please?

Re: "The server is too busy ..."

The error message you received tends to indicate that the problem lies at the end rather than at your end. But that might not necessarily be correct.

If indeed the problem lies at your end, the speed of the connection is by far the more important of the two factors mentioned by Nabadip. An old computer works fine on this site. I use several computers, ranging from a cool modern smartphone just three months old to an eight year old PC with only 512 Kb of RAM. All work fine.

So unless your computer is even more ancient and weaker than my oldest one, I think you should focus on getting a faster connection if you can.

From my point of view, there is one advertiser whose failure to respond tends to slow down, namely I've no way of assessing how general or local to me this problem may be.

Re: "The server is too busy ..."

I get this message about twice a week. As far as I'm aware, it means that the forum is overloaded. There is a limit (I assume) to how many people can be active on the forum at any one time, or perhaps how much activity the site can handle at one time. It usually only lasts five minutes or so but I appreciate that if you have a very short period of time available to use your computer, that could be quite frustrating.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
