    Proper nouns

When we use the term mother or father is there any time we should use a capital (apart from the beginning of a sentence)? For example, would it be Dear Mother in a letter but if we were writing 'my mother said' is it lower case?

    Many thanks

    Re: Proper nouns

    I'd capitalise 'Mother's Day'
