we had a nice workout that day

I would like to know if this sentence is correct: "we had a nice workout that day" or is it a better way to say it? Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. Your sentence is fine. Note that we capitalise the first word of a complete sentence which is contained inside quotes. We also say "Is there a better way to say it?" The answer to that question might be "Yes, there is" or "No, there isn't".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
