    place of safety

    Hi.
What does it mean to move an attacked chess piece to 'a place of safety' and how does it differ from 'a safe place' or things like that?
    Thanks in advance!

    Re: place of safety

It means simply to move the chess piece to a different square where it is in less danger of being "taken" (removed from the board by a piece of the opposing player).
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
