    street dog

    Is "street dog" same as "a dog wandering or straying in the street, losing its owner"?

    1)I stop my sister from hittng the street dog.

    Yes. I'd say it's a homeless dog.

    It's not a common expression. The norm is stray dog, at least in AmE.
