Smile Can I say "I slipped firecracker into a taxi and only 5 mins later I heard a party ..

    Hello everyone,

I would like to know if this sentence is natural.

"I slipped firecrackers into a taxi and only 5 mins later I heard the driver shouting in the middle of the party"
I wish I had better English, but I work hard to improve it. I'm studying for IGCSE, so I'm only interested in BrE.

I am unsure of what you mean. My best guess is -
    1. You brought some firecrackers into a taxi
    2. Somehow the driver left the taxi and went to a party
    3. While at the party, the driver began shouting

I mean as if the driver had been in a party because of the firecrackers. The firecrackers shocked him so he started shouting.

So...he went to a party because there were firecrackers at the party?

I think he means that it is typical for people to shout when they are at parties and that the firecrackers (which exploded in the cab as he was driving it) caused him to shout in this manner.

    No, it is not natural.
