    hold an entertainment program

In the evening, entertainment programs are ______ on TV.

Could I use "held" to fill in the blank?

If not, what verb will a native use here?

    Thanks!

    Jason

    Re: hold an entertainment program

With the quality of most 'entertainment' programmes these days, I'd use perpetrated.
