    Make vs makes

Is it " things do come around and make sense eventually " or " things do come around and makes sense eventually " ? Or can it be said both ways because they both sound fine to me !

    Re: Make vs makes

The subject "things" is plural, so a plural verb is needed -- "make".

As my mother used to say when I would sometimes ask about rules of the household., "Because I said so!". But seriously, because "things" are plural and therefore requires a plural verb form.

    Re: Make vs makes

I think it's more to do with the emphatic DO. We use the bare infinitive even if we had a singular: This event does come around and (does) make sense eventually. We could also think of it as: This event does come around and (it) makes sense eventually.
