1) The amount on my paycheck is equivalent to my actual total work hours.
2) The amount on my paycheck exceeded my total actual hours.
3) The check with the non-actual amount for my total work hours.

I hope somebody can help me correct the above sentences. Thanks

None of them make much sense to me, I'm afraid. Are you trying to say that you were paid for more hours than you worked?

s

Yes, that is what I am trying to say.
Can you teach me a better way of saying it?

'Underpaid' is the opposite of 'overpaid'.

Yes. Since I was under severe pressure, I couldn’t ask an appropriate question, and I am so sorry. My question is: Can I say I have been underpaid, please? In other words, I want to say to pay for less hours than you work. You can see that I got the idea for my interpretation here from the intelligent poster #4.

Thank you, Rover.

I completely agree that if you work 45 hours and they pay you for 40, you have been underpaid, and that if you work 35 hours and they pay you for 40 you have been overpaid.

However, just to avoid confusion for you in the future, you will also find those words (underpaid and overpaid) to refer to getting a salary that is not a good match to the value you provide. I have a coworker who did almost nothing, talked about how hard she worked, had us pick up the slack when she failed to do the few assignments she was actually accountable for, and she was paid more than I was. I would say she was significantly overpaid. Meanwhile, I did more than my job description but was only paid for the level it was written to. I was underpaid.
