Thank you very much for your clarification. But, my doubt is that if the said sentence is fine, then why the following sentence is not correct.

"They have been waited for lawyer since 3.00 p.m".

Please inform that what is the difference between the above two sentences.

"They have been waited for lawyer since 3.00 p.m".
That is a passive construction in a sentence that needs an active one: They have waited / They have been waiting for a lawyer since 3.00 pm.

Hello sir,

As of you said, the second sentence "They have been waited for lawyer since 3.00 p.m" is a passive construction. If so, the first sentence "The construction work has been completed" is also passive construction or not. Please inform me.

[STRIKE]Hello sir,[/STRIKE](Unnecessary.)
As [STRIKE]of[/STRIKE] you said, the second sentence "They have been waited for lawyer since 3.00 p.m" is a passive construction. If so, the first sentence "The construction work has been completed" is also passive construction or not. Please inform me.

I you must make the second sentence passive, it has to be "They have been kept waiting by the lawyer since 3pm.'

Yes.

There is no need for 'sir' in this forum - especially as many of those who respond are female.
