[Grammar] Sentence sounds a bit odd, is it correct?

Hi guys,

I am Brazilian, but I have had great interest in and contact with the English language since childhood, such that I can usually detect when a sentence just sounds off, much like a native speaker. However, I found myself writing the following sentence to a music artist:

"Thank you for your kindness to make the MP3 download available for free!"

My spider sense is saying that sentence isn't gramatically ideal, specifically the "kindness to make" part. Should it be "in making" instead?

I know that if I didn't want to include "kindness" in the phrase I would just say "Thank you for making the download (...)".

Thank you. I thought of switching around the order of the words like you did, but that would be cheating I want to know how to make the sentence correct with respect to "Thank you for your kindness".

Use "in making" if you insist on using "thank you for your kindness."
