Student or Learner
I've not been in this forum for awhile it's nice to be back!!! Teachers, please explain me what's the difference between "Descriptive composition" "An essay" and "Discursive composition" I tired to find out this by myself but unfortunately I couldn't figure this out what a shame... By the way I want to know this because tomorrow is very important day for twelfth graders in Lithuania! We are taking an English exam!!! Thanks in advance
If you're taking an exam
- Good luck!
- Whoever's arranging the exam may have their own specific definitions.
Compositions are things that have been composed. What has been composed may be called 'an essay' in some cases. There's a lot of overlap.
If a compositon describes something it's descriptive. If it discusses something it's discursive.
PS Tip for tomorrow: read the question!
