    baking to or baking for?

    Hello,
    could you please tell me which of the following sentences is (are) correct and why (or why not)?

    - Jack is baking Liz a cake.
    - Jack is baking a cake for Liz.
    - Jack is baking a cake to Liz.

    The first two are correct. The third is not English.
