    Post Upon

    Hi,

I would appreciate any help which makes me understand the below phrase to understand. I specially am in trouble with the word "Upon". I also want to know if the expression " Question economics" is correct? Does it lack an " 's"?

"The following question economics is called upon to answer concerns the economy’s regulatory institution which allows our economic man to express himself at his best."

    Thanks

    Re: Upon

I can tell you that 'is called upon' is correct and means the same as 'is called on'.

I have no idea what the rest of it is supposed to mean.

Whatever it means in a wider context I would read it as:
The following question concerns the economy's regulatory institution. It's a question that the economics as a discipline is invited/demanded to answer. It's also specified that the question regard specific economy's regulatory institution - the one which allow the economic man to express himself [..]

I think that the that has been left out
