    Post Abbreviations

When writing an essay letter in a exam can you write abbreviations like ps, pto, rsvp like that or do you have to write the full sentence for them

    Re: Abbreviations

PS for post script at the end of a letter is common.
RSVP to ask people to let you know if they are coming to an event is common.
You need to use capital letters.

Neither is suitable for an essay.

I don't know what pto is supposed to be.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

PTO = please turn over (at the bottom of a page, on occasions when it is thought necessary to point out that more follows overleaf).

If the task is to write a letter, then it is correct to use abbreviations used in letters.

In Human Resources, it's also "paid time off."
