    Dislike as a noun

Since dislike can be used as a noun
    is it correct to say
I have a dislike for romance films, for example
because, if we want to say the opposite
    we don't say I have a like, we say I have a liking, that's why I'm asking -
One last related question: what is a better noun to describe (not liking something), dislike or disfavor?

    thanks :)

    Re: Dislike as a noun

I think dislike is better than disfavor.

    Re: Dislike as a noun

Welcome to another quirk in English. Yes, "a dislike" is now accepted, but "a like" is not. However, "likes" as a noun is accepted (at least by some).
