    Talking 52-merit or distinction

    Dear all

I want to know the difference between (merit) and (distinction) not only in meaning, but also in usage, and to know if they can be used in each other's place or not?
Is there any special location that one of these two should (or shouldn't) be used?

    Thanks a million

With some courses you can pass with merit or distinction, in which case distintion is higher.
