    Lightbulb No and Not

    Hi there, sometime im confused by No and not although it is simple.. could someone explain to me please?

    The adjective no goes with nouns, and the adverb not goes with verbs.

    [1] There are no cups.
    [2] There aren't any cups.

    They just make the sentence, phrase or word negative- they are grammatical words rather than words with meaning.
