I cant stop thinking about my ex-girlfriend. She is always on the safe side. I suppose " she is always in my mind"

You haven't indicated the text you want assessed for error. In other words, is what an error?
Writing this text, "I cant stop thinking about my ex-girlfriend. She is always on the safe side" is an error. Is that what you mean?
Claiming that, "
She is always on the safe side" means "She is always in my mind" is also an error.

PS: Your punctuation is also erroneous.

Could you tell us what exactly are you getting at when you say that she "is always on the safe side"? That phrase seems to be out of context. When you say that someone is on the safe side, it means that they are not in jeopardy any more because they have taken all the necessary steps required to protect against any problems. From what I see, you seem to have some brushing up to do. You also need to make sure you use punctuation marks wherever required as pointed out by someone. Besides, it would be more appropriate to say that "she is always ON your mind" instead of "she is always in your mind."

I am not an English teacher and I speak English as my second language.

We don't say that someone is on the safe side at all. We say things like "To be on the safe side, I'll pick you up at 6am for your 8am flight. The traffic might be really heavy."

thanks thanks
It was taken (the example) from the course-book with answers
It was an answer "She is always on the safe side"
The choice was " to be on the safe side" and " to be on one"s mind"
my choice is ---She is always on my mind
Thank you ever so much (with all my erroneous punctuation together)

I think you should get another coursebook.

"I cant stop thinking about my ex-girlfriend. She is always on the safe side." If this was presented in your course book as being good English, I would reccomend that you do not continue to use it.

Ah. Good. Try Raymond Murphy's books (the "Essential Grammar in Use" series). You can buy them quite cheaply online and you will learn a lot more!

So that other people can avoid the book you have been using, can you please tell us the name and the author?

In BrE, it's quarter past midnight. In AmE, it's a quarter after twelve (midnight?). Is it actual "White Night" there? The night where all the museums etc stay open all night?

So - what is the name of the book you were using?

Please don't. You have been advised by several people on this forum that it is not a good book to study from. If you keep posting bad questions which are clearly from that book, you will find that we simply won't respond.

I find it rather disappointing that I have now asked you twice for the name and the author of that book and you have chosen not to divulge the information. That is rather odd. I don't think this thread is serving any further purpose so I am closing it.
