Lightbulb What is the meaning of "binoculars"?

    Hey guys,

In a movie a girl was talking about a party and while she was inviting her friend, she said: "It's gonna be binoculars,That's half bananas, half ridiculous".

    Her friend said:"no,it's not".

Then she said:"That's cool. You can use it".

I don't get the whole conversation, are they talking about past and the parties that they used to go?

    any help would be appreciated.

She is describing the party she is inviting her friend to using a silly made up word. She has taken half of the word bananas, and half of the word ridiculous (both of which could be used to describe the party) and made the word "banoculous" which sounds, when spoken, like "binoculars". Initially her friend says that the word is not "half bananas, half ridiculous" but then she rethinks and decides that it's a "cool" word and decides that she's happy for her friend to use it.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Thank you, I really appreciate it.
