    Travel or Travelling

What is the difference between the following questions?

How much travelling do you do in a year?
How much travel do you do in a year?

Are both questions correct, or is there only one valid answer? The teachers' book shows question one as the correct option but I think option two is valid as well; however, I don't know how to explain to my students the difference between both questions.

I would appreciate if somebody could help me figure out the difference.

    Re: Travel or Travelling

    Welcome to Using English, alejo.

They are both correct. #1 is more common.
