    US-tinged accent

    Hi ,
    I just heard this expression in a tv interview "US-tinged accent" what does it mean?

    To me it means an English accent from UK or Australia, or elsewhere, that has acquired some features of American due to a recent or prolonged stay there, and which is noticed once you get home again.
