    a preposition question

The wording of the sentence and alternatives below belongs to me. I would like to know if there is anything wrong with them, both structurally and semantically. (For example, is "made against him" redundant?) I thought A correct. Thanks in advance.

As the last suspect was absolved ---- all the accusations made against him, for a time there was no one else to be held accountable ---- the crime.

    A) of / for

    B) for / with

    C) in / for

    D) from / to
