    Idea fix

In Polish we have a phrase idea fix - is it also an English term? If yes, how do you understand this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Re: Idea fix

That sounds as if it came from French, idée fixe. If so, then the English translation is "fixed idea" or "fixation".
