    get in sick shape

    Hi,

    I knew muscular means having strong muscles, but I don't quite understand how get in sick shape means the same. As far as I know, sick can refer to being ill or being tired of something etc, but how can this phrase mean have strong, powerful muscles?(Of course it has this meaning, but i don't know why) Please help me expain. Thank you very much!

    Here, "sick" is used with its current slang meaning of "good" or "great".
    etymology - Origin of current slang usage of the word "sick" to mean "great"
