A ring is necessary to make / be made - proper structure?

    Hello all users!

I know that when an agent /doer is mentioned I would say like this:

I have a ring to make, meaning I must make a ring. I would not say: I have a ring to be made - it is totally wrong.

Regarding the sentence in question, I have some reservations about correctness of such structures. I may be wrong.

It is necessary to make a ring - definitely right.

A ring is necessary to make - maybe.

A ring is necessary to be made - I don't know.

    Thank you.

There are contexts in which the second is possible. However, I would generally advise learners to avoid such constructions.
