    multiple choice

    Hi,
    I have an exercise.
    - "I'm afraid I can't come with you"
    -"________________"
    A: what a pity!
    B: what a shame!
I chose A but it's wrong :( could you explain it to me? why B?

In BrE, they are both perfectly acceptable and natural. That's a very poor test question.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

In AmE, they are both correct also.
