    estimate 'from'

Hi All. I want to ask if it is okay to say: "one can estimate the heat flux of a hydrothermal plume from frfffff f fthe measurements of the plume's vertical flow rate." I wrote this sentence in a scientific report. I have some doubt about the use of the prep 'from' in this sentence. The idea I what to convey with this sentence is that 'one can obtain estimates of the heat flux of a hydrothermal plume by measuring its vertical flow rate.'

The preposition from is correct. Where did all the extra f's come from?
