    Could anyone tell me what "0.5 fte" means in the following sentence?

    ...Research Worker (0.5 FTE), Department of Psychological Medicine...

    FTE = full-time equivalent

    It means you get half a full-time job, so you would get the benefits of a full-time position, for holidays, etc, but work part-time.
