    I thought I should..

    hi!

My question may sound stupid but I got a little bit confused about the following:

1.I thought we should have worked together

2.I thought we should work together

Which one should I use to express the meaning of a future act that we should work together.

The 1. sentence I think means that we should have worked together for example the previous day,or that we should have worked together when I thought it. This is what made me confused.:)

Secondly the meaning of the second sentence means that when I thought then I took into consideration that we should work together in the future?

Neither one means that. Use "I think we should work together".
