Hello again,

could you help me choose the name of a science (a branch of linguistics studying culure through the language) which would sound most "natural" to the ear of a native speaker:

1) linguistic and culture studies
2) linguistic and cultural studies
3) lingvistic culturology
4) lingvoculturology
:?:

Hello, englishhobby.:-D

Could it be "ethnolinguistics" (or simply "cultural linguistics")?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnolinguistics

I hope the link will shed some light on your query.

2 is the best of the four. 3 & 4 are out of the question. tzfujimino's suggestions are both better than 2.
