    Thumbs down correct the mistakes pls

    1)The boy entered the room wearing a red hat.

    2)The boy entered the room with a red hat on.
    My questions is that is the two sentences above carry the same meaning?

    Both are correct and both mean the same thing.

    You will find people who tell you that the sentences are not grammatical because they could both suggest that the room was wearing a red hat. I realise that that is ridiculous but it's the kind of thing that could be picked up on. To avoid ambiguity:

    The boy wearing a red hat entered the room.
    The boy entered the room while wearing a red hat.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    We must use some logic in interpreting sentences.

    Then can i write the sentence ''The boy entered the room smiling'' to ''The boy smiling entered the room'' to avoid ambiguity? please explain it grammatically.
