    Get sunburn or sunburned

    Dear Teachers and English lovers

In the following sentence, should I use "sunburn" or "sunburned"? Please advise.

"The whale could easily get sunburn, get too hot, and die."

    Regards

You could use either of those, or 'sunburnt'. Obviously they are different syntactical structures, but they both work in this case.
