Which is correct?

1.It was on January the thirty first (when/that) he came here last time.

2.It's hard for me to decide should I go to play or bed.

Thanks!

1.It was on January 31st when he came here last time.
for second sentence I'm not sure but I think it's better to use "whether" instead of "should".
(I am not a teacher.)

2.It's hard for me to decide should I go to play or to bed. This is OK.

Thanks!

#1 is not natural. We would say "He last came here on January (the) 31st" or "January (the) 31st was the last time he came here".

For the second sentence I would say:

It's hard for me to decide whether I should play or go to bed.

1.It was on January 31st that he came here last time.
2.It was January 31st when he came here last time.
3.It was January 31st that he came here last time.
4.It was on January 31st when he came here last time.

I think 1 is a cleft sentence, and the first two sentences are correct, the last two are not grammatical.
Is that right? Thanks!

You have posted these four sentences as the first part of a new thread. Please see that thread for responses and try not to duplicate posts in future. It can be very confusing.
