    Would you like to explain why you want to add in attendance?
    I'm not saying it's wrong, but I see no need for it (without further context).

    I also want to know why the two words are used. It seems to me that the speaker cannot thank people who are not there. If the people in attendence are just a part of those who participated in something else, this might work.
