    I wish I would

    Please tell me is N2 possible? Thank you.
    "I wish we would go to this party." (talking about now)
    "I wish we went to this party." ???????????????
    "I wish we had gone to his party." (talking about the past)

    In BrE, only number 3 is correct.

    Number 1 could be expressed as "I hope we go to this party".
    Number 2 is incorrect and would be worded as number 3.

    Note that there is never a reason for a string of question marks as you used.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Thank you emsr2d2 for your answer. But I still need more help with this. I have difficulty understanding why sentence N1 is possible and N2 is incorrect. Both of them have the same structure. Thank you.

    1. "I wish he would buy me a car."
    2. "I wish he would go to this party."
