Hi everybody.
I have 2 passive structures: one beginning with Direct Object and another one with Indirect Object.

  1. “Somebody gave me the book.”(Active)
  2. “I was given the book.” (Passive starts with Indirect Object )
  3. “The book was given to me.”(Passive starts with Direct Object)
I am trying to do the same with the following sentence:

  1. Somebody asked me some questions. (Active)
  2. “I was asked some questions.” (Passive starting with Indirect Object)
  3. “Some questions were asked ......
This is where my problem is. How should I continue the sentence to say that I was asked some questions. May be “Some questions were asked me.” “Some questions were asked from me.” I just want to use an object pronoun here at the end of sentence N3. How do I do it? Please help. Thank you.

I would use of me rather than to me. However, it's not that natural a sentence- why use the passive here?
