Where can I read well-written articles?

I would like to read more well-written articles that improve my English and let me learn knowledge at the same time. Examples I can think of are Discovery and National Geographic. Do you have some other suggestions? Also, I would like to read good articles that expresses the writer's personal opinions/ post or against a topic, such as debates on The Economist. Do you have some more suggestions?

Re: Where can I read well-written articles?

The best advice is to find topics that interest you. I would die from boredom reading the best written articles on some topics. If you like nature, then those magazines are great choices. I like Smithsonian magazine too, but the articles are very long.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
