the meaning of "in" in this context

We went to Piramida. It's a restaurant that's open 24 hours a day, and it's the "in" place right now. There's a DJ, and we saw a lot of interesting people. Does "it's the in place right now" mean it is an indoor place? Thanks

No, it means that it's very popular right now.
