In 1985, scientists sent a submarine to look for the wreck of the Titanic. They found the ship lying in two pieces on the ocean floor, at a depth of around 4000 meters.

The image in the bottom right-hand corner of the three at the top of the story is of a ship lying in two pieces on the ocean floor.
