    Hi,
What is the difference between these 2 sentences please:
    1. The door is open.
    2. The door is opened.
    Thank you.

    Re: open/opened

    Focus.

    Examples:
    • When he arrived at the house, he saw that the door was open. [Who opened it/when/why doesn't matter]
    • When he arrived at No. 10 Downing Street, the door was opened from the inside.

    Re: open/opened

"Opened" can also be about the action and not the status of the door. As in "the door is opened to reveal a room full of presents."

I think that's what Bob was saying in his second sentence.
